Andy Zain, one of our MobileMonday Indonesia Founder, was invited as a guest speaker in the opening of MobileMonday Vietnam... here's his report: MobileMonday is Coming to Vietnam I was happy to be invited by the new MoMo team in Hanoi to attend and speak in their MoMo pre-launch in Hanoi last week, Monday, March 24, 2008. The event was a pre-launch which audience are by invitation only, mostly from telco operators and prominent mobile/technology companies in Vietnam. The idea is to bring in these influential audience together and educate them on what is MoMo and planned activities in Vietnam. The MoMo Hanoi Pre-Launch event was held in the exclusive Press Club in downtown Hanoi. Started with opening speech and presentation from Mr. Tom See, the MoMo Hanoi founder, explaining on why launching MoMo in Hanoi, followed by Mr. Ngo Viet Khoi, another co-founder which further clarifies on format of MoMo monthly events. I was next, sharing about MoMo activities around the world and plugging the Global Summit in Kuala Lumpur. The presentation was closed by Ms. Nguyen Thanh Xuan from Viettel sharing about Vietnam telco market updates, afterwards dinner was served. We have good mix of audience from major local telcos including Mobifone, Viettel, FPT, VTC, VNN, VietnamNet Group, Oberthur and also Buongiorno. We also have TV journalist from VTV covering the whole event. It is a truly enjoyable event and I was honored to take part in. My best wishes for all the working team. Good job for the event and success for future events. I was informed that the Hanoi team are now discussing with Forum Nokia to host an opening event together. |
